We at the Studio Inspiro are now done with the first part of shooting our short film entitled “Augustino“. It’s a wonderful story of a boy named Augustino who wrote 7 crazy dreams and how he prayed for them to Sto Nino. And the movie is centered on how God mysteriously blesses his dreams in ways he did not expect.
It’s a light film but quite deep in a way especially when we reflect on this question: “Is my dream God’s Dream too?”
Then if your answer is YES well DO NOT EXPECT! Why? For sure, you will get more than you can imagine.
But what if you’re answer is “I don’t know, are they his dreams?”
Here’s a checklist on how to make your dreams God’s dreams
1. It’s built in.
Look at your traits and core gifts. What are the skills you are good at?
It’s no accident God gave them to you. Dream big of using all those talents and abilities, and you will be truly blessed.
2. Look at where you are.
Again, God has a reason why you are born in that place and in that time. God has a beautiful plan for your place, for where you are, and being placed there means you are a part of that plan.
3. Know your life story
Look at the bigger picture of your life. Everything you have gone through, your past, your tragedies, your accomplishments and failures. Those experiences are motivators for you to dream even better. And when we say for the better, surely God would love that to be part of his dreams.
Surrender means giving up your dream and putting them into God’s hands. Of course surrender means trying not to control everything that happens in life and moreover, it doesn’t mean you will not do anything. Surrender means riding with the flow of things but keeping an eye on the price.
The sad thing here is – human as we are – often times we don’t usually understand how God works so we get disappointed when things don’t go the way we expected or wanted it. Plans not working, opportunities not coming, and events that are quite unexpected happen and we begin to question and lose sight of our dreams. But you see, everything is just a part of it. All the down’s is part of creating that dream. The moment we stop believing on our dreams to happen – then it stops, it never happens. But when we keep our eyes no matter what, then our dreams begin to unfold.
I myself had a lot of doubting moments when we were still starting with Studio Inspiro:
“Where will we get clients? Where are they now? Why are they not coming?”
“How am I supposed to pay the loans this time?”
“Is our work good enough?”
“How can I make our company’s dreams happen if I don’t even have enough money to buy better equipments??”
“Am I managing this business the right way or not?”
“Does God usually works this way in making our dreams so hard?”
These thoughts haunt me like crazy! And surely they have clouded and eaten enough of me to doubt so hard and consider giving up.
How was I able to get through that, I just did! I don’t know how it happened, but I just stayed and believed my dreams will happen.
And now things are just flowing effortlessly. The people , projects, opportunities and flowing everyday. And because of that dark period, now I was able to see clearer my vision, my goal, my dream that I can say, I am unstoppable!
So are my dreams, God’s dreams too? Definitely!
